Serbian spring-Agios Mattheos

The Serbian spring in Agios Mattheos is one of the Serbian monuments on the island which is associated with the stay of the Serbian army in Corfu during the First World War. From 1916 to 1918 the Serbian Army formed 28 military cemeteries, which were located in the camps of the divisions in Gouvia, Ipsos, Strongyli, Mesongi, Agios Mattheos, Vranganiotika, Katomeri, and Dimotiko.
