At the top of the homonymous mountain above the settlement of Agios Mattheos is the monastery of the Pantocrator Christ of the 16th century. Although the Monastery is no longer in operation, according to tradition it celebrates on the 6th of August where every year it gathers a crowd of people for the established service and the traditional festival.
