In Petriti there is one of the largest ports for fishing boats in Corfu, as well as a small marina for the mooring of tourist boats. The port of Petritis flourished in the 20th century. In 1935 a customs office was established and in 1954 a carnagio. The port served the transactions of the Corfiots with the hinterland, such as Parga and Igoumenitsa. Today it is a picturesque port with fishing boats, along which there are many taverns and other leisure shops.
